League Size: The league is capped at a maximum of 44 teams.
3. Match Play & Scoring
Nightly Play: Teams play two matches per night.
Match Format: Each match is Best 2-of-3 sets.
Sets 1 & 2: Played to 25 points (capped at 27).
Set 3 (if needed): Played to 15 points (no cap).
Self-Officiating: Matches are self-refereed. If teams cannot agree on a call, the point is replayed (reserve).
4. Time Limit & End-of-Slot Protocol
An audible signal will sound at the end of the designated 2-hour time slot.
Unfinished Sets: The team with the most points when the signal sounds wins the set. If the score is tied, teams play one final “golden point” to determine the winner.
Third Set Requirement: To win a third set after the signal sounds, a team must have scored at least 5 points. If neither team has reached 5 points, the match is recorded as a tie.
5. Tiered Movement
At the end of each tiering period, teams will move divisions based on total points:
Promotion: The top 3 teams in each division move up one tier.
Relegation: The bottom 3 teams in each division move down one tier.
